Ngl, I watched this video carefully just to try and understand how the new gimmick for this character works…but I’ll be real, I very much prefer the original take where it’s just extremely limited slot with Blighted Dice as backup, instead of forcing in a mechanic that made the character way harder to understand. I feel the same about Tarnished Lost too, when there’s a solid base effect (in that case, the item charge is your mantle, you either keep the mantle on or sacrificing it to reroll items), it’s not really needed to tinker with item quality system. Some of the Tarnished characters gimmicks are very well designed (Tarnished Keeper for instance is very cool), but I can’t help but feel that over complicating things poses as a drawback for this mod.

So I caved and bought the game whilst still in EA (I have been trying not to buy early access games anymore because if its not like a legit 1 man dev team its kind of just a marketing thing). And god damn is this game fun. A couple of things I noticed those Banshees and fish on Oceanus become so easy once you start using your bind more. You dont need to charge up the bind basically just lay it when they spawn (or start chasing you) and you can sit on the other end and destroy them lol. The binding spell is just good in general with the axe (and wands) because it lets you have more time to chain your combos together. Edit: Hepasethus, I always liked the blacksmith archetype (Though he is significantly prettied up for the game). Or Selene the moon lady she has a cool aesthetic. Though from either game it would be Dionysus but gods of wine/alcohol are always some of my favorite and the depiction in Hades 1 for him is pretty good.

From the looks of it, it's rather simple. The item you have in the first slot will slowly rot, once rotten, this rot gives an extra slot. You can also reroll the item in the selected slot and choice items from this reroll must be picked up or will vanish. Thats all there is to him, aside of the mechanic that items picked up before the dice is charged will be used as charge, same with using the dice before its charged but on the selected slot.

i love to watch the videos on Isaac because its interesting seeing the things and types of cool builds you can do with all the mods you got and all those cool extra character

i think the hollow does have some kind of tear synergy, cause (correct me if im wrong) the fires spawning from dead enemies at 35:24 are birds eye flames, so i think the tear effects come in either by becoming a new fly type (dark matter fly as an example), or by spawning in after you kill an enemy
